Region 2 is proud to offer an AYSO EXTRA program in multiple age divisions for both boys and girls.

The EXTRA program exists for families and players that wish to compete in an environment considered to be more challenging than the regular Fall program. EXTRA provides an option for families considering joining a club program but who still wish to be part of AYSO. Whilst EXTRA is a very competitive program it continues to adhere to the philosophies that are so fundamental to every program within AYSO. This includes fair game time for every player.

Region 2 has implemented the EXTRA program in, what is known as, a Side-By-Side format. This means that players competing on a Region 2 EXTRA team are not eligible to compete on a regular Fall team, or on any All-Star team in the winter. Instead, EXTRA teams compete against other EXTRA teams in nearby regions in various competition formats. Region 2 EXTRA teams remain eligible to compete in travel competitions, tournaments and other secondary programs.

Region 2 EXTRA teams are formed following open and fair player evaluations. Evaluations for EXTRA are typically conducted in the Spring time. The date and times of the evaluations are publicized via email to previously registered participants. They are also publicized on this website and via our various social media outlets.
