LiveScan Fingerprinting - all youth sports volunteers are required by CA State Law to complete a one-time LiveScan fingerprint process. Region 2 will have another LiveScan event before the Fall season starts. Region 2 will cover the cost of your LiveScan. An email blast will be sent out to register for a time slot.
SafeSport - this is a new mandatory training course for volunteers that has been added to AYSO National requirements. This course trains volunteers how to proactively prevent, identify and report cases of child abuse. Note - This course will be mandatory for Fall 2022 but is highly recommended for Spring 2022.
Log into AYSO2.org ---> My Account ---> Volunteer ---> click on the box to the left of SafeSport certification and hit Renew and Update. You will get a message to take you to the SafeSport site to complete your training. The initial training is 90 minutes but you can pause your training and resume at various times. After the first year, there is an annual 30-minute refresher.
