Region 2 Regional Referee Courses
Saturday, August 10th, 8 AM - 5 PM   (Full Course)
Tuesday, August 20th, 6 PM - 10 PM   (Zoom modules prerequisite)*
Saturday, August, 24th, 8 AM - 5 PM   (Full Course)
Wednesday, August 28th, 6 PM - 10 PM   (Zoom meeting prerequisite)*
Wednesday, September 4th & Thursday, September 5th, 6 PM - 10 PM   (Full course, both days required)

Region 2 Intermediate Referee Course
Friday, August 9th, 6 PM - 10 PM & Sunday, August 11th, 10:20 AM - 6 PM (Both days required)

All courses located at the Arcadia Association of Realtors

*Zoom hybrid courses require completion of 4 online Zoom modules.  Please see below for Zoom module dates/times.

- Youth volunteers (10 years old and up) welcome! 
- Snacks and light lunch/dinner will be provided.
- Regional Referee badge, uniform, and gear provided upon completion of the course.

Region 2 recommends taking the full in-person Regional Referee course as they offer a better learning experience.


How to register for a Referee Course?

STEP 1:

 

• Login (or sign up an account) at http://www.AYSO2.org

• Sign up as a volunteer and eSign the application form
• Follow the instruction (sent to your email) for the Background Check - DO NOT PAY the US$25 fee; Region 2 has already covered it.

STEP 2: (Required Safe Haven Courses)

• Login to http://www.AYSO2.org with the same username/password
• To attend REQUIRED online courses for ALL volunteers
  
  • Go to "VOLUNTEER" tab on Left Menu
  • Click on "AYSOU" button under your name
  • You will be led to a new website (eTrainU)
  
  • Click on "My Training" link on Left Menu
  • Check whether you have completed the following 3 Volunteer Required Courses:
  • AYSO's Safe Haven (either Online or In-Person Course)
  • CDC Concussion Awareness (Online)
  • Sudden Cardiac Arrest (Online)
  
  • If not, click on "Training Library" link on Left Menu
  
  • Click on "VIEW COURSES" button in "Safe Haven" block
  
  • Click "ENROLL" button in those 3 courses
  • Click "START" button to complete ALL modules
  • If you cannot complete all modules at one time, you can re-visit it from "My Training" link on Left Menu
  

STEP 3: (In-Person Referee Courses) - see STEPS 4 & 5 for Online Companion Course

• Login to http://www.AYSO2.org with the same username/password
• Click on "Training Event" link on Left Menu

• Look for the Course by "Courses" or click on "See all events" on a certain date

• Click "Enroll" on the desired course (Regional / Basic Referee Course) and confirm it


• If you have to cancel the enrollment, go back to event list and click "Unenroll" on that course and confirm it

Region 2 does not plan to offer Regional Referee Online Companion Course, the 2nd part of Online Course Certification. Therefore, we recommend all new Region 2 Referee Candidates to complete IN-PERSON COURSES only.

STEP 4: (Online Referee Courses - PART 1 on AYSOU) - must also complete STEP 5

• Login to http://www.AYSO2.org with the same username/password
• Click on "Training Library" link on Left Menu

• Click on "VIEW COURSES" button in "Refereeing" block

• Click "ENROLL" button in "Regional Referee Training - Online" block
• Click "START" button to complete ALL modules
• If you cannot complete all modules at one time, you can re-visit it from "My Training" link on Left Menu

STEP 5: (Online Referee Courses - PART 2 in-class, in-person)

• Login to http://www.AYSO2.org with the same username/password
• Click on "Training Event" link on Left Menu

• Look for the Course by "Courses" or click on "See all events" on a certain date

• Click "Enroll" on the desired course (Online Regional Referee Companion) and confirm it


• If you have to cancel the enrollment, go back to event list and click "Unenroll" on that course and confirm it
